Have started coming to office full shift, ie, twelve hours away from my daughter including travel time :( Whatever I do, I just cant put this thought out of my mind!
The other day I reached home, being in my jolly-happy-go-lucky mood. My maid silently gave her in my lap. Happily I recieved her and started giving her feed. I was so lost in my happiness that after almost ten minutes, I observed that she had a scar above her right eye. For a moment, I was just blank and trying to answer "what could have happened". Thus, understood why mom-in-law and the maid were mum. And, then the story telling begun. Mind was not following, face showing sarcasm. Fed her, went upstairs in my room - had to login back to office. Sulking.
Anyways. She has brought much more joy in my life than I had ever imagined. I am thankful for whatever I have. When she sees me after whole day, she jumps out to reach out to me. She stares me, hugs me and gives a long smooch to my cheek :) I will try to feed her, but no! She'll take a sip, look at me, give the sweetest smile and then again will go back to have her share of what she did not get the whole day!
